Take Action

Have you ever heard of a one minute millionaire?  Well you may be one and didn’t even realize it.  Have you ever had an “ah-ha” moment?  You may be completing a task and think to yourself, I have a better way of doing this and others could benefit from it also.  Or you may just be thinking to yourself and come up with several ideas to solve a problem.  In that one minute you thought of the idea, in some degree you have just became a one minute millionaire.  This is where the majority quit.  They start thinking of every reason not to move forward.  Instead of thinking how to take action (positive), they think of how it would never work (negative).  Thinking of all the obstacles they will have to overcome.  Reality is, every successful entrepreneur has to overcome obstacles.  It’s a part of the journey, but with every obstacle comes a great learning experience.

It all starts from one idea or thought.  Look around you.  Everything around you has come from an idea.  The TV you watch, the lights in your house, the computer you are reading this from.  These all started from ideas or a thought.  Thomas Edison had an idea of a lamp that could operate by electricity, the Wright brothers had an idea of a machine that would fly through the air.  The list goes on, but just think if they did not take the action to manifest their ideas, where would we be?

You may have several ideas that you may think shows great promise.  Keep a log or journal of your ideas.  I keep a list of my thoughts and ideas on my laptop for future reference.  Will every idea become a success, maybe not.  The key here is to focus on one.  A little piece of advice on this one that has been said by every great entrepreneur, including Donald Trump, DO WHAT YOU LOVE.  If you don’t, it will seem like work and the business will own you instead of you owning your business.  It will be just like going to a job.

It’s all about taking action.  Whether it’s research, talking with others or reading books in the same field you are thinking about getting in to.  How do you eat an elephant?  One bite at a time.  You don’t have to do everything at once, take small steps and achieve your dreams.

To your success,

What it Takes

To be an entrepreneur that is.  Well first things first.  It starts with a big paradigm shift.  Simply stated, you will need to change your mindset and most importantly, change the way you think.  Albert Einstein said it best, “he advised that we can’t get out of a situation using the same thinking that got us into it.”  Most of the population has an employee mindset.  As a matter of fact, 98% of the population thinks this way.  Why?  This is the way we are programmed from an early age and we have to reprogram our mind and the way we think.  In school we are taught to graduate high school, go to college and then find a good job.  Be an employee.  And then, you guessed it, the rat-race starts.  The problem is it seems to never end.  Jumping from job to job thinking it will get better.  Just to find out you end up in the same situation, but there is hope.  A study was done with a group of millionaires to find out what the secrets were to achieve the success that most want.  It’s shocking to hear the results.  It had nothing to do with their backgrounds, education or the way they were raised. The answer that was consistent with each one was they changed their thinking habits.  It will take a dream, a lot of determination and the willingness to learn, but you can do this.  The two resources I found very useful to help you start your journey is Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich and Robert Kiyosaki’s Cashflow Quadrant.

To your success,
